About the event

Aphro Eats and Afro Beats

Ginseng, apple, saffron, chocolate, chili, avocado, artichoke, asparagus, beets, figs, red wine, almonds, honey, vanilla, pomegranate and more…

What do these sexy ingredients have in common? Aphrodisiac Fooood!

Chef Chris whips up a delightful combination of au naturel love-inspiring ingredients for a super suppertime.

Starter: Cold Marcona almonds, figs and garlic soup

Mains:

• Coq Au vin – extremely romantic red wine stewed chicken from Burgundy, extremely moist and tender with slow cooking in a Dutch oven, slips of the bone, slides off your tongue.

• Pastele al Caldero. A sexy recipe from Puerto Rico. Slow simmered pork encased in a pastry of plantain, yam and pumpkin mash. Wrapped in banana leaf for extra flavor and innuendo.

• Moringa Lamb. Moringa, an ancient aphrodisiac herb known to enhance performance (ahem..)

• Cashew and pistachio fried rice with parsley and coriander and a touch of saffron!

Salad & Sides:

• Rose Petal and Pomegranate Salad

• Hummus - made from garbanzo beans, is cited in “The Perfumed Garden” to give men “strength to pleasure a thousand women”!

Dessert:

• Tiramisu - Ingenious Venetian courtesans allegedly invented the delicious treat as an aphrodisiac to boost their clientele’s staying power.

So where’s the Ginseng in all this?
