About the event

Relish.Sg is excited to announce My Home Your Home Bicentennial Dining Event! Celebrate “home” with a garden party and an “Island Vibe” theme. To be held at a beautiful Black and White heritage home (the owner was rather inspired when we approached her) with food that celebrates our multicultural heritage and Singapore’s unique cosmopolitanism. Island Cuisine by Relish.Sg from different islands and signature dishes like Lamb Kulambu (from Sri Lanka), Chicken Paratel (both are family heirloom recipes from Rose’s mom with Eurasian and Sri Lankan influences), Jerk Chicken (thank you Suka Suka Sauce!!), Sharon De Mello’s Sambal Prawns, Aunty Isabelle’s Fish Moolie, Chef Chris’ Hawaiian Meatballs all to add to the happy island flava from the Caribbean to Hawaii and of course our shores.

The entertainment line-up sizzles with island-inspired dances and performances and includes a Kathak Dance performance by Guru Afsar, Raggae and Dancehall music by Masia One and friends, Nina Lestari and Azmi Monday with familiar favourites and Malay dangdut, Hawaiian dance by Lanieakea Collective, Trevor Nerva and Edwin Rio, and hosts Melissa Sidek of local sitcom fame and Kyle Ravin as friendly neighbourhood fire-eater and raving emcee, from Mediacorp, it is going to be lots of fun. The logistics of putting such a party together is a feat but all fall into place because of volunteer support.

Our guests are from the Disabled People’s Association, Community for Successful Aging and some other groups so we will have a lovely mix of Singapore residents, the elderly, children all celebrating our commonality.

Come join in the fun and experience something beautiful.

Address will be revealed upon payment, it is in the Alexandra region. We have limited seats for this extra-special affair.

“With her husband as the chef, Rose and her family bring together people from various backgrounds, including those with disabilities and children with special needs, to share a meal in her home. This is a good example of our community spirit – how we build unity in our diversity.”
