Chef Chris Choo

The Malaysian home chef with an English public school boy accent grew up in Penang, Malaysia, and studied in the London School of Economics majoring in Government and Medieval History. Now based in Singapore, he has been in a variety of industries from Finance to Advertising, and a maverick who started a dot.com company in the 90s, selling high-end watches. Today, his passion is cooking, antiques, traditional Indian dance and music, martial arts and being Dad to his 12-year-old daughter. His home is a mini gallery with museum-quality art from Indonesia, Africa, Tibet, India and China. 

Chef Chris’ passion for cooking has lead to a successful Singapore private dining experience he presents with his wife, Rose Sivam, an award-winning TV producer. As “Relish.Sg” they curate dining events with entertainment in their home, these include themed events like Bollywood, Moroccan Nights, Spanish Interludes with performances by world-class Flamenco dancers, Belly dancing, Stand-up comedy, Caribbean and African fare with Afro House music and Jamaican flava with performances by Raggae and dancehall artistes like Masia One as well as Singapore – based jazz greats like Jacintha Abisheganaden and Robert Fernando. 

An immersive dining experience in their home might include a “spooky tour” where Chef Chris shares some of his collection and waxes lyrical on the beautiful pieces from a 2000-year-old Buddha bust to ancient tangkas and Chinese vases.

James Flynn is a professional, international, jazz vocalist, composer and band leader. Over the last three decades he has developed a versatile career and his work has taken him to Europe, Asia and throughout Australia. Originally from Scotland, Flynn has been based in Western Australia since 2001. He has written, produced and featured in, regional and national touring productions within Australia and consolidated a significant reputation internationally for his many performances overseas.

Sample career highlights include, support artist for Ray Charles, support & touring artist with Demis Roussos, featured soloist with The West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Festivals in Romania, China, throughout Asia and Australia. Opening act for ‘The Summer Horns’ (Gerald Albright, Mindi Abair, Dave Koz & Richard Elliot) onboard The Dave Koz Cruise. MC/Host: Singapore International Jazz Festival 2016 & 2017. MC/Host: Singjazz presents Gregory Porter 2018 (Singapore). Flynn has recorded eight Jazz CD’s and is currently working on a new album of original compositions.

Rebekah Sangeetha Dorai

Rebekah Sangeetha Dorai is a well known actor and singer in Singapore. She has worked on numerous plays with a host of international and Singapore-based theatre companies including W!ld Rice (Boeing Boeing, Merdeka), CAKE (Koko the Great), RDG (Mother Goddess), and Buds Theatre Company. Her recent theatre credits include Tan Kheng Hua’s The Page on Stage, Singapore International Festival of Arts’ Verses of Love & Life, and Building A Character. Acting is an incredible gift, and she feels blessed to make this dream her career. She does - with the exception of a gnarly earthquake or the rapture - see herself doing this till the day she croaks.  Her recent show at the Esplanade, Sangeetha Sings Sinatra truly wowed in 2 sell-out performances! She trained with Buds Theatre Company, and studied at NAFA and LASALLE, two esteemed International Theatre institutions.
